House of Heacock is a full-service interior and product design studio offering end-to-end consulting from concept through execution. The studio is recognized for pioneering the California Coastal Mid-Century Modern aesthetic: a warm, organic design language that blends coastal influences with Mid-Century Modern heritage, expressed through natural materials such as walnut, teak, woven textures, and custom craftsmanship.
The founder of House of Heacock, Megan Heacock White is an acclaimed interior and product designer with over 20 years of experience. A sixth-generation San Diegan, she founded House of Heacock to articulate her signature California Coastal Mid-Century Modern vision, shaped by deep regional roots and a lifelong commitment to craft. Her career began in San Francisco designing and building furniture while assisting leading interior designers such as Gary Hutton. She later moved to Los Angeles, where she pioneered the product department at Commune Design, leading more than a dozen co-branded collections. Her work is featured in landmark projects including the Ace Hotels and the Four Seasons.
Today, House of Heacock encompasses three integrated divisions: Design, providing bespoke interior solutions for residential and commercial spaces; Trade, offering brokerage and partnership services to allied brands; and Decor, featuring original furniture and home accents crafted by artisans including Megan Heacock White, herself. Notable projects include La Playa, highlighted during San Diego Design Week, and Paseo, acclaimed as Coastal Home of the Year 2025 by San Diego Magazine.
